Nursery Care
Our vision in New Sparks is to support and encourage parents as they raise their children with the wisdom, love, compassion and discipline needed to become fully committed to God.

We have two main objectives regarding this ministry:
1.
To provide a safe and comfortable environment in which your child can learn about and experience God’s love.
2.
To allow you, as parents, to feel completely comfortable leaving your child; knowing he/she is being well cared for while you attend church services or class.

The following schedule describes our nursery hours of operation for children Birth to 2yrs:
8:45am
Sunday - Nursery opens
9:00am
Sunday School - The infants and toddlers (2 & 3yr olds) will enjoy a special Bible time of their own.
10:30am
Sunday Service - Infants and 2yr olds will play in the nursery; 3yr olds move to KinderChurch
6:00pm
Sunday night - The nursery is unstaffed, and available for you to use as a cry room.
6:30pm
Wednesday night - Nursery opens for Family Night

NOTES
Nursery is offered as announced for special events General Nursery Guidelines. Please bring diapers, wipes, and bottle or sipper cup for your child. If your child is potty training, please bring a change of underwear and clothes. If your child is unhappy and cannot be settled down after 10 minutes, you will be located so that you can comfort your child.

MOST IMPORTANT
Pray blessings of health and peace on the children, nursery volunteers, and parents. Illness Guidelines - For the health of all our babies, please do not bring your child to the nursery if he/she has had any of the following within the last 24 hours:
• Temperature of 100 degrees or more
• Severe diarrhea
• Vomiting

• Persistent coughing or sore throat
• Questionable skin rashes, or any communicable disease.
• If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he/she should have received treatment at least 24 hours before coming to the nursery.

Drop Off Procedures

When you bring your child to the nursery you will be welcomed by a nursery volunteer. They will help you sign in your child. Label any items you may have and place a name tag on your child. You will be given a security card with a number on it. You will need this card to pick up your child.

Pick Up Procedures
When picking up your child, please present your security card. Your child will be brought to you and a nursery volunteer will collect your claim card. We will not allow anyone (friends, sibling, grandparents, etc) to pick up your child without prearrangement with the staff. Please pick up your child within 10 minutes of the close of the last service.

Opportunities for Involvement
For a successful family ministry such as the nursery to function, parents and primary care givers of nursery-age children are asked to serve 2 services per quarter.
